Had the best potluck at the Centre for Newcomers tonight-we ate Serbian gibanica, Ethiopian segwat and doro wat with homemade cheese and collard greens, injera, butter chicken, two biryanis (Fijian and Bangladeshi), fattoush, Venezuelan hallacas, Filipino buko pandan, baklava and about a dozen other dishes… all in great company. I love having the opportunity to share food and stories with people I may not otherwise have a chance to meet.

  1. Mmmm. Carbs and meat and great company. ….And a green jello salad that looks like it is a recipe from Saskatchewan.

  2. Thank you Julie for opening your palate to the diversity of dishes that our city / community has to offer.

  3. I was so lucky to be invited a few years ago. What an experience. So much fun trying everything. Truly an eyeopening world 🌍 experience.
