I’d be happy with this for breakfast, lunch + dinner for the foreseeable future: good bread, toasted, buttered, spread with real mayo, sliced perfect field tomatoes (at room temperature, or warm from sitting in the sun), flaky salt + lots of freshly ground pepper. Bliss.

so delighted! I had mine this morning, I mean afternoon (slept in) on fresh baked sourdough, and small tomatoes, variety of types, my black ones are divine! no mayo though, I’ll have to try my hand at making some. and I am right out of ask pepper…..so used Nigella seeds from Silk Road instead… 🙂

I used to live off this in August in southwestern Ontario. You could often get one slice of tomato to cover most of the bread.
