Pakoras it is!! Tune non… Instagram or Facebook live in half an hour… I thought we could all try to do dinner together. It’ll be dinner with Julie in real life! Bring your plate, and a glass of wine!

  1. Any chance you could please list ingredients ahead of time so that we could do it with you? 😀😀

  2. In 1974, I had a neighbour from India who didn’t speak a word of English. One day, she came to my house with a plate of goodies. She wasn’t able to tell me what they were called, and I wasn’t able to ask her what ingredients she used. All I know is that I paid a lot of attention to each bite so I could figure it out on my own – which I did, decades before Google searches would enlighten me. This has got to be one of the easiest snacks to pull together, with a little bit of knowledge on how to use a deep fryer or a pan of hot oil. This will always be a special memory for me.

  3. YES! My husband loves pakoras. I love the taste, but the deep frying gives me the worst indigestion pain between my shoulder blades. 🙁

  4. This was so fun!! You mentioned that you don’t want to use your sourdough starter because you don’t want to waste flour to feed it. Just wanted to say that we never throw any away when we feed our starter. King Arthur flour has a really great sourdough waffle recipe that we make with the part of the starter you would normally discard. You let it sit overnight and in the morning you have the best waffles EVER!
