So many people baking their first loaves of no-knead bread this week! It’s a great starting point, but is equally useful for experienced bakers, and only uses 1/4 tsp yeast. I often have a bowl of those sitting on my counter… It darum makes fantastic pizza dough and focaccia! A lot of people seem to think they’re doing it wrong, so I’m posting more in-depth instructions and photos over in stories if you have questions!

  1. Going to try this tonight/tomorrow! Will a half and half mix of light spelt and whole wheat flour be ok? I have been trying to find all purpose flour here for 2 weeks with no luck…

  2. I just discovered your stories! Thank you! So many fun ideas. ❤️🥖🥖🥖❤️

  3. Baked my first loaf this morning and now it’s taking every bit of will power I have not to devour the whole loaf myself. Love fresh warm bread with butter. The best!

  4. Question on white sandwich bread from Julia child….can you replace a little of the water with milk?? Thank you!

  5. Any ideas on why the first rise looks like yours did but then we remove it from the sides, fold it over a bit and leave it in a ball. but the second rise never really looks good. Is it possible my husband is aggressively over folding? It’s my only guess.🤷‍♀️

  6. Is there a reason for folding it over a few times? I’ve made a few no knead loafs before but have never seen to fold over, I’m interested!

  7. Is this why flour is so hard to find these days? Once you try it, you’ll never go back. Also useful is you’re earlier dope on the knobs of Le Creuset Dutch ovens… carbonize at no-knead bread temperature. My stainless steel replacement is on order… 😫

  8. Do you have a recipe for a bread made with a starter? Or would that be the same as recipe with yeast? Thank you!

  9. @dinnerwithjulie do you have the no kneed recipe on your website (my husband can’t figure out Instagram) 😂
