This is a cry for help from a MN dog owner. We have snow, lots of it and even more salt, so dog boots are a real need. They may seem dorky, but my standard čÉęčÉęare miserable without them. These are @muttluks and they just can’t take the MN winters. I’ve spent an obscene amount of $$$ and they look like this. Any advice?

  • We use Pawz waterproof dog boots which seem flimsy since they are like balloons but definitely hold up around here!

  • Even more dorky, we use socks on our lab in his boots.

  • I bought the ‘my busy dog’ waterproof anti-slip ones on Amazon and they’ve held up well so far!!! granted, my dog hasn’t worn them a ton, but they’re def thicker!

  • We live and die by PAWZ. They’re cheap and stay on, pretty much like thick balloons.

  • @zoebakes let me ask my Alaska friends. Our pup thrives in the cold/snow and actually has a massive amount of fur between her pads/toes so we never used anything while living there.

  • Try repair lair in Minneapolis. They have good ideas about strong materials

  • I use Ultra Paws. Super super durable and made in MN. I’ve never lost one because of the patented double wrap.

  • This is a great question because my dog also goes through too many pairs of @muttluks because of Montr├ęal weather and the salt. And it does really add up when I have to buy her more than one pair every winter čśč

  • Don’t have a dog and don’t know much about it, but what they probably need is something like shoes… so with a rubber or cuoio sole! Leather can’t resist long to cement or similar.

  • Have you tried the one by ruffwear with vibram soles? Super tough and long lasting. We have both the grip trex and polar trex versions for our pups and love them. http://www.ruffwear.com/Products/dog_boots

  • Get them from @nonstopdogwear I drive sled dogs and that is what these dogs wear in autumn and on sharper ice on 100km runs. Of course they’ll get wholes but maybe not as fast čÉĽ
